slowing down

And here I am again....
I just started with my 2nd week of flying in Europe and today I flew to Helsinki. We just had a perfect dinner, of course salmon as we're in Scandinavia, and I'm just posting a quick message before I'm off to bed. Tomorrow I have a wake-up call at 3.45 local time, which means 2.45 dutch time. Aaaaargh! This means that I'm not going to see any of Helsinki unfortunately, we are here just for about 9 hours, which I will mostly (hopefully) spend sleeping. But tomorrow I'm off sightseeing Warsaw and will have some more time to rest.

A very good friend of mine just posted that it seems like I'm living my life in the 7th gear, and yes, it feels like it. There are so many (exciting) things going on, I have hardly time to relax. I'm posting here the most wonderful stories about being everywhere instead of Holland, but there is another side as well. When I'm in Holland I'm running from one house to another, as I don't have my own place yet. It feels like I'm packing and unpacking the whole time, thinking days in advance what I need to take to where.This hectic period is already going on since the beginning of this year: travelling through Thailand, immediately afterwards starting the hard training at KLM and now the training on the job part with almost every flight evaluations from pursers about my performances. No time to sit back and relax yet. And how exciting everything sounds, I noticed that it was getting too much lately. I was not listening to my body until last week. Now I realize that I really need to slow down in my private life, which means less sightseeing with Taylor and really use my days off as resting days, the way how you should use them.
This means also that I need some time on my own, without planning things for us and planning for Taylor. With these changes I hope to feel much better soon, so that I'll be better company to hang out with. It means also that Taylor will travel more on his own, tomorrow he'll be leaving for Berlin and it will give me some time to settle down and feel at ease in my new apartment next week. Because yes, from next week on I’ll have my own place for 5 months!

I never realized that all these new changes would have such a big impact on how I would feel as everything sounds so nice and I'm so enthusiastic.
But hey, listening to myself and realizing what is really going on and how to change this is the best I can do. So within a couple of weeks, after settling down in my new apartment and having more routine in my job, I'm certain that I'm completely me again

And to all my close friends: I really miss you guys and hope to hang out with you very soon....
