Adrenaline running!

First of all a big welcome to my friends abroad and especially the ones who can finally understand what I'm talking about now that my weblog will be in english :-D

Still 2 nights before my trip is starting... The last days I've had 'loads' of time to prepare, which of course is a good thing to de-stress from work. These days off in between should give me enough rest. But instead of feeling relaxed and enjoying my rest, I feel restless. Adrenaline is running through my vains and I get so tired of it. Late at night in my bed I try to get some sleep, but this is a struggle. During the day I'm walking around, don't know anything else to do besides preparing my trip. Can't read a book anymore, because I can't concentrate. I've got even difficulties listening to people for a long time (sorry for those who noticed...)! So please.....let the trip begin! Release me from this misery ;-)
Fortunately tomorrow I'm going to visit Mickelle in Amsterdam. This means that I don't hang around the house knowing nothing to do besides my trip. It will make me feel more relaxed, I'm certain...

Yesterday I packed my backpack with some help of my good friend Ingrid. She took her backpack as well, so I could choose between 2. When she saw my clothes she was suprised in a positive way: "is this all'? So you could imagine that I was proud like a little kid, because it is the first time that I'm not allowed to stuff a suitcase full of clothes, bags, shoes, bikini's, etc. But despite my hard work the bag was not big enough!
So I made the choice to get rid of some clothes because souvenirs are more important to me. Luckily Ingrid choose which clothes I had to leave... Making the decision that I wanted to leave clothes at home was much more easier than making the choice which ones to leave, so I was very gratefull for her help ;-)

Again packing with less clothes, trying it on, it didn't feel good :-(
Sorry Nanda, I left your bag home, but do use your flightbag and lovely pink diary with pretty Disney princesses on the cover ;-) The change of bags means that I'll take a bigger bag, so more space. But no worries, I didn't stuff it with the clothes that I dismissed earlier. But I did give myself a present: because of the clothes that I leave home (and because of the extra space) I allow myself to take a nice top for New Year's Eve. Hey... can't help it, I'm a woman :-D

Concerning New Year's Eve.... I already made friends to spend that evening in Bangkok! And no worries mum and dad, it is safe... How come? With the new design of this weblog, the developers added a forum as well. Last Friday I left a message on this forum asking who would be around in Bangkok during New Year's Eve. Seems that I'm not the only one... Anyway, we already left some messages on the forum, emailed, exchanged telephone numbers. So this is going to be great!

Anyway, this is my story until now. I'll try to update frequently, with pics of course. I would really like you to leave messages underneath my adventures. Please don't use my hyves site during my trip nor my cell phone. Leaving messages here or in my yahoo account... no problem! For the Jacco's and Ingrid's among you, please add something in your message that makes me recognize you as I know 3 Jacco's and 5 Ingrid's :-)
And for whom I haven't seen or spoken to or didn't send emails back the last days.... sorry, but have been too busy and restless!
