Before I started to work this week (Saturday) I had some wonderful days of in Amsterdam, no planning, just relaxing and enjoying the more than beautiful weather.... Taylor had arrived in Amsterdam again after some travelling in Europe, so we spend our days by walking around in my new neighbourhood, exploring the little shops, the several markets, lying in the lazy sun in Sarphatipark with a nice picknick (we were accompanied by my training friend Marliene) and going out for dinner with Annemarie, to thank her for my stay in her apartment during my training. These past days felt like a holiday as so much in Amsterdam is new for me as well. Day by day I felt better and better, more relaxed and more myself than lately. The evenings we spend on the couch watching my favourite Sex and the City :-D
Now at work again! I already spend another night in Berlin and Glasgow, tonight it is Geneva. We arrived around noon already (after a freaking early wake-up call and just 3,5 hours of sleep) and decided to rent bicycles and go into town and the lake of Geneva. So the 5 of us (cabin and cockpit) raced into town (downhill!!!) and spend most of the afternoon on terraces in the very pretty old part of Geneva. Little squares with terraces outside, fontaines everywhere, old buildings, lovely balconies and small streets with pretty antiques shops.... The lake of Geneva was impressive! The smell of the lake immediately reminded me of my childhood at the Balatonlake, Hungary. We had spend there many summerholidays and I loved it over there. This lake was smelling exactly the same....
After a great dinner at Cafe de Paris and some wine we needed to head home. This time not downhill, but up the mountain... Aaaargh! The whole afternoon I was trying to look for escapes, but if I wanted to be in my bed tonight, I really had to. My colleague and I couldn´t follow the cockpitcrew and purser, so we ended up walking a small part of the track. However, they lost their way and the 2 of us arrived before them in the hotel, haha! They were so surprised.....
It´s almost 8.45, time to close now, I need to sleep. Tomorrow night, or better, in a couple of hours again a very early wake up call, and after 3,5 hours of sleep, some wine and some biking, I assume that I will sleep like a rose tonight....

Taylor:
Hey sweetie, I just hope that you keep feeling better as each day goes by even though I'm sure 3.5 hours of sleep won't help. Just wanted to let you know I leave for France tomorrow. Of course it would be even better if you were there but I'll just have to wait till the next time I'm in Amsterdam. Miss you! -
