23 heaven

For the first time since I'm flying I was not feeling bad about the idea to just spend one night at a slip station and coming back (to Amsterdam) the day after... First of all, because it is terrible weather in almost the whole of Europe, so spending the evenings in my own house is very luxureous, but mostly because of the bad company. From the moment I met my purser, there was no connection at all... I mean nothing, zero, nada! The only thing she was interested in was contact with the captain, the rest of the crew was not of her level, or at least that was her attitude. Bitchy as she was, she set the atmosphere already by leaving the crew centre and giving 2 of my colleagues a reprimande about their namebadges. There are different ways of communication and she obviously chose the very direct one.
Luckily I was working those 3 flights at the back of the plane, so had hardly to do with her.

While arriving in Goteborg, I had no plans at all to get a drink at the 23 heaven bar, at, how could it be, the 23rd floor of the hotel, with a heavenly view. No way I wanted to be stuck with her ;-) But the cockpitcrew was very persuasive and as I was attracted by the thought of seeing Goteburg at night from the 23rd level, I decided to go for one drink. One became more and in the end, I had a nice evening, although or mostly because I had no contact with the purser at all. The panoramic elevator was the best closure of the evening: with high speed we went down to the floor level, but we agreed that it was too much fun to leave immediately. So we just went up again, and down, while being amazed by the speed and the great view.

For the rest? Goteburg just sucked. Why? Just read the cityname in dutch and you will find out that the weather was more than terrible. Luckily my intercontinental flights are coming up, I'm flying to warmer resorts!
