Just a short message from Teheran, Iran. Although I'm only here for a very short period, the experiences are huge. Or at least mine.... Some other crew members just came out of their beds, while it is 5.30 pm over here.
As I'm still in the middle of it (to give you an impression: I'm sitting here in the business centre of the hotel, wearing this long black 'dress' and my turquois scarf around my head), I can't really describe yet how I feel. Not that it is too much to handle, but I've hardly been here and are already busy with my departure. Unfortunately it is a very short stop-over here, arriving in the middle of the night and departure in the middle of the following night. So I haven't been doing that much, besides visiting a small bazaar over here, to get an impression of the culture of Iran, or at least the capital Teheran.
How different this stop-over is from other destinations, I will write about that once I'm back home in Amsterdam. By then it is not such a blurr in my head anymore, plus I can upload some great pictures of the bazaar and all it's local food over there.

Ben ook erg benieuwd naar je foto's, wat maak je weer veel mee terwijl ik in de Breitnerstraat achter m'n bureau zit!
And Taylor, I heard from my brother that a lot of women - at least in Oman - get skin diseases because of those black 'nylon' dresses in extremely hot summers. So Marije, be glad not to stay too long in those countries!
